Experience Hanseatic history where it actually took place
Step inside Schøtstuene and discover the history of the Hanseatic merchants who lived and worked at Bryggen for several hundred years. Together with our knowledgeable guides, you’ll gain a unique insight into the everyday life, commercial activities and culture that shaped Bergen and made Bryggen a key hub in Northern Europe.
The museum is open every day at 10.00–18.00 from May to October, and we offer guided tours in four languages every day.
